Continued from here, wherein John asked Zee for some help in contacting the spirit medium looking for Jessica's soul, and/or doing some complicated magic. Depending on how this all goes. It also may or may not involve John being almost romantic, wut.

Bloke goes by the title 'the Third Grey of Ithaca' if that rings any o' your bells. Keeps shop in the back of a casino. [Grins at her sideways] Who knows, maybe he's caught yer show.

Date: 2010-01-07 01:46 pm (UTC)[After passing ahead of the people on the sidewalk substantially far] Might be a good idea for me t'give you a quick rundown o' the situation, by th' way.
Looks like th' angels and devils are bent on war, an' they've almost got the tools in hand t'do it, wiping most of us out in the middle o' their scuffling, of course.

Date: 2010-01-07 08:42 pm (UTC)Thus far, you are saying it's not too untypical of their usual arguing, then? We just need be careful that the old dogs haven't learned new tricks - unless you're aware of some new tricks already?

Date: 2010-01-11 04:16 am (UTC)Lucifer's already got his claws in the poor sod what's meant for him, and if someone doesn't knock some sense into th' boy, we'll all be payin' for it.

Date: 2010-01-11 04:29 am (UTC)Who, may I ask, is "the boy," though?
[ooc: Was re-reading some older issues of JLA & I noticed Constantine had a cameo in the wedding issue during Ollie's bachelor party. Just like him to disappear from the pages of hero comics until a bachelor party.]

Date: 2010-01-11 04:40 am (UTC)Name's Samuel. Part of a family of self proclaimed hunters. Always types like them - go after demons, learn some incantation magic where it suits 'em. An' apparently part of the reason he's working for the First of the Fallen is because the old goat told him he could get his old dead girlfriend back out of the deal.
[Shrugs casually] So I figured, we find her first.
[Oh god, that is so predictably him. I don't know how I'd never heard of that appearance. <33 Love it. And how no one would really question him just showing up, because that's just what he does.]

Date: 2010-01-11 05:10 am (UTC)If we're actually going to Hell - assuming it's Hell, since he's made a deal with 'em - I'm not sure how much use I can be. Last time I was rendered sort of... useless.
[I didn't, either. But I noticed him in the corner, then looked up the issue on comic book database and well, it's credited as him. I know he's made some appearances in Green Arrow in the past, too... Hm. But ahaha, oh man. John. :')]

Date: 2010-01-11 05:34 am (UTC)And no, I'd never ask ye t'do that, Zee. Her spirit got lost, according to Michael. Trapped in between, somewhere, on the Spirit Plane. I did a bit o' travelin' there myself, but no one seems to have any word on her, and I couldn't comb the entire ether lookin'. Figured a medium might be exactly what's needed.
If we can get a hold of her, I doubt it'll take much convincin' t'get her to screw his head on straight. Most spirits don't take too kindly to their living loved ones sellin' their souls for them.

Date: 2010-01-11 05:44 am (UTC)You mentioned it, partially. But I wasn't entirely sure of the whole shebang.
[She places a hand awkwardly on her chest.] No. They don't. They don't take well to any stupid actions the living take in their names.

Date: 2010-01-11 07:38 pm (UTC)[Glances over at her last comment. After a second, his hand reaches over to gently draw hers away from his chest, and he pulls it to his lips for a moment
like he thinks he's a gentleman or something] That's why we're gonna do what we can t'right this one.I think notifs are lagging again. :(
Date: 2010-01-11 08:53 pm (UTC)[She feels a bit embarrassed. If it was anyone else, it wouldn't be as nearly a grand romantic gesture. Oh, maybe she's just a bit starry-eyed now. Maybe.] Alright.
Argh, they are. Fail, LJ. Fail.
Date: 2010-01-11 09:06 pm (UTC)[He just squeezes her hand, and releases it slowly] Anyway, it's a short walk. Just up ahead, here.
At least it isn't just me.
Date: 2010-01-11 09:33 pm (UTC)Mmm. [She lets her hand fall to her side now.]

That's the one. We're gonna have to go through the back though. Not a lot of casinos I can get in through the front door around here anymore.

Date: 2010-01-12 05:01 am (UTC)[She looks the place over. Just in case, she makes a mental note that there's a high chance there won't be a performance at this place any time in the near future. Just in case.] Of course. Unless you want to try a disguise. I've found I'm quite good at them.
